I know this phrase 'setting intentions' can get thrown around alot today, but it is something I feel can create so much power & change within ones life. I don't exactly resonate wiht the whole 'New Year Resolution' thing, as I believe if one wants to make change, we don't have to wait until the New Year; but rather can begin to practice & implement that change today. I fee that setting intentions is a little different, it opens us up to what we want to cultivate within our year ahead, therefore making that energy present within our minds & aura. 

How are intentions different to goals?

Well, instead of setting exact action-based steps (which are also very powerful, but may not be suitable for everyone's approach), we are deciding, or 'making the choice' about how we want to feel, what we want to culvaite, what we want to let go of. I feel intention-setting is a little more 'yin' in this so heavily 'hang' centred society.

Choosing your word for 2016

Many people find that choosing a particular word that they want to feel more of or cultivate more of within the year is helpful. I have never personally done this, but I value the premise. Some words could be: liberated, peaceful, mindful, clarity, etc. 

Workbooks

I am a big fan of Leonie Dawsons' Shining Yearly Workbooks. This will be the 3rd year partaking & filling them out. She has so many testimonials that attribute setting intentions through her workbooks to high positive growth within one's business & life. And I can agree with that too. Since starting with Leonie's workbooks, I have gained so much clarity around the nitty gritty aspects of my business, aspects we don't always want to tackle. It has also opened my soul up to immense personal growth. I could not recommend her books more!
