I worked in a jeweller for years and became a bit of a jewellery ‘snob’, only wearing solid gold and real stones as it just seemed to be worth the money long term in comparison to fake if you’re a gold girl!
I’ve had terrible experiences in the past with anything not solid as my body reacts sensitively to most filler metals and things would turn green within a day, even if plated on 925 (sterling silver). I also dislike really yellow looking gold and find that most plated stuff looks fake immediately and won’t wear well next to my real pieces anyway.
However, solid gold and real stones are all well and good when you have access to a large discount lol.
Since leaving the jewellers, I’ve tried plated bits and pieces with a 925 base that have claimed to hold up like YCL does and have been disappointed every time - with the quality and colour..
222 is extremely special to me and I saw the Angel Number necklace on a boxing day sale so thought I would just give it a go as the reviews looked good and I’d never seen something this style available in solid gold anyway.
I could not be happier!! It’s identical
In colour to my solid pieces so layering isn’t a problem. I’ve worn it in the shower on multiple occasions, in the ocean and have slept in it basically every night since I got it.
Nearly 2 months in and it still looks brand new!
It has held up the same as my real chains and clasps and I have received so many compliments on the beautiful design!
My partner just purchased the bezel tennis bracelet for me (he was a bit skeptical at $250 for something ‘plated’) but I showed him my necklace and he was sold. With express shipping it came in 1 day!!! It wasn’t due for another 3 days seeing as tomorrow is the weekend so that was a lovely surprise.
I am thoroughly impressed with the service, delivery time and product of this company!
Looking forward to seeing if the bracelet wears as well as the necklace, which i’m sure it will! (It is also the same colour as my solid pieces YAY)
