Christmas is an important time of year to spend with family & friends while we restore. However, the message of Christmas can be so easily distorted these days in society, & at YCL we want to get to the root of our values, defining what is important to us over the Christmas period. Fabienne, YCL's CEO spoke about this recently on our Snapchat. 

Here at YCL, we wanted to do something intentional for our Christmas party this year, as we always do. We wanted an experience that would restore us, bring us closer together as a team & as friends, allow us to eat delicious food (of course!), & maybe have a cheeky drink or two.

This year's YCL Christmas party was organised by Fabienne YCL's Creative Director, whom decided to give us a beautiful experience at Freedom Float Centre.

Floating is an experience we have all wanted to try for a while now. It involves you immersing yourself in a float tank (that kind of looked like some sort of futuristic alien pod), with shallow water filled with enough magnesium to make you feel like you are a buoy on the surface of the ocean. For the first ten minutes some gentle and relaxing music played to help us ease into the new experience, after that however, it was pure silence, in darkness, floating any worries away.

This beautiful experience really set us up for a calm & relaxed day before we got ready to meet each other at a wonderful Italian restaurant, Justin Lane, in Burleigh Heads. Eating is really important to all three of us, so there was no better way to enjoy our time together than sipping on a drink whilst eating amazing food to end our wonderful day together.
