Eliza wears YCL Infinite Choker

To celebrate our collective of magical women for the next month we will be sharing an interview series featuring YCL Women, whom we are inspired by & are living their truth. We hope you enjoy this series! 

1. Who are you & what do you do? 

I’m a creative that loves to explore the globe & loves everything to do with fashion. 

2. What’s your favourite piece of jewellery & what story does it hold?

I’m a big jewelry girl. I have three favorite pieces that I wear everyday. Two are both rings that where given to me, one from my Nanna, a tiny gold signet ring engraved with an E, that sits on my pinky. Its super art deco and from the 20s, its probably the coolest thing I own. 

The other ring my mum designed when she was twenty years old and was travelling overseas. It’s a gold band with leaf shaped diamonds. I think its pretty rad that it’s been with her on all of her adventures when she was young and now it comes on all of mine. It’s like a lucky charm. 

Finally, the infinite necklace by YCL that sits around my neck everyday, it comes on all of my adventures, I actually never take it off. It evens endures the pain of gym classes with me… that’s love. 

3. Why do you love your YCL treasures?

My YCL treasures have become apart of me, I never take them off. Ever. That’s what I love most I think, that they are always there. They’re my second skin. Beautiful, fine, hand made jewellery that means something more than just a object and I think that’s pretty rare. 

4. Whats the best advice you've ever received?

Stay on your own yoga mat.

If you don't focus on yourself and what you are doing you are never going to achieve what you want to achieve in life. Imagine you are practicing yoga, if you are constantly looking at what everyone else is doing and not focusing on yourself you are going to fall off your yoga mat, you are going to divert off your own path because you are so concerned with someone else. Your path is yours and only yours, believe in it and trust it. 

5. When do you feel most at home in your own skin?

When I’ve been in the sun all day on the beach, definitely. No make up, sun kissed skin and covered in sand and salt.
